Tuscan Rose Garden

Tuscan Rose Garden © Theresa Evans

I visited The Watermill at Posara in Tuscany a few years ago. It was a painting holiday... a beautiful venue if you ever get tempted. Apart from the work I did whilst i was there, I took many, many reference photos. Of course, the blackbird arrived on my imagination later :)

Acrylic 7" x 10" on watercolour board.

What wonderful delicate roses. You've captured the feel of them on a summer's day so perfectly.
Very pleased to see you're selling online. Hope it proves fruitful.
A very delightful painting, very beautifully painted too and I love the roses and the blackbird.

Thanks Vandy ... well, I'm sure it's a case of driving your own traffic to art listings. A good excuse to spend more time online! lol

Thanks Caroline :) It's one of those subjects that could turn out too twee - but I'm happy it didn't!
