Another watercolour painting from my Tuscany travels. It was a truly stunning sunset with lovely low light. The backlit autumn trees seemed to be on fire! I also love the way the low light throws long shadows across the hillsides.
I was eventually quite pleased with the sky in this as I restarted the painting three times because I wasn't happy with my earlier attempts to capture the jewel like colours in the clouds.
Painted on Arches (NOT) watercolour paper.
